Today we visited a shrine on our last day in Kyoto. The shrine was 15 minutes from our hotel, and though it was raining, we had a wonderful time. Behind the shrine was a beautiful garden named the Shine Garden. The garden had many different kinds of magnificent flowers and wildlife. Within the garden was a beautiful lilly pond, which was quite a site. We also enjoyed feeding the Coy fish and turtles of the pond. We then visited a handicraft museum, where various demonstrations of traditional Japanese crafts were shown. After visiting the shrine and handicraft museum, we took the bullet train to Hiroshima, where we checked into our hotel. Although the Hiroshima Carp baseball game was cancelled, we went to a nearby restaurant.

  1. Thanks for your update!! It sounds like the lily pond at the Shine Garden was very tranquil and beautiful. It's too bad about the baseball game, but I'm sure you'll be enjoying many other great experiences while in Hiroshima. Wishing you continued fun and enlightenment on your travels.

    Peace and ♥♥♥
